In December 21st, the center for psychological sciences at zhejiang university was founded in the Run Run Shaw Science Museum of Yuquan campus, Zhejiang University. The center will integrate the multidisciplinary efforts to carry out frontier exploration and innovative application research in related fields of psychology. Wu Zhaohui, President of Zhejiang University, and Ma Sheng Ming,the academician of Psychological Science Research Center, unveiled the Research Center for psychological science.

Wu Zhaohui said that psychology is an important subject to study the mental function and behavior of human mental health, and it is also a subject connecting natural science and humanities and social sciences. Today, with the rapid development of science and technology, people are more and more aware that human factors are one of the most critical factors in all areas of human beings.With the advent of the 3 era of innovation, large data, Internet of things, mobile networks, artificial intelligence and other technologies have developed, and human beings will enter the era of deep blending between the physical world and the virtual world. People's psychological activities, mental health and other issues become more prominent. Future psychological science will usher in new opportunities for development and shoulder the responsibilities of new missions.

More than forty experts and scholars from different disciplines including psychology, physiology, information science, mechanical engineering and computer science attended the ceremony. After the unveiling ceremony, Chen Shanguang,deputy general designer of China Manned Spaceflight Project,Fan Ming, a researcher at Military Medical Science Academy of the PLA,Yu Mengsun, academician of the Air Force Aeronautical Medical Research Institute,and Liu Zhenyu, professorof the school of mechanical engineering, Zhejiang University, made reports entitled "research on human factors ergonomics", "brief introduction and thinking of brain programs at home and abroad", "health strategy leading health medical engineering development", "intelligent manufacturing and human-computer Engineering". They expounded the new technology and new methods in the frontier of psychology and interdisciplinary fields, and provided new ideas for human engineering in the fields of manufacturing and medicine .

The center for psychological science of Zhejiang University is attached to the Department of science of Zhejiang University. It is a multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary research institute based on the psychology of Zhejiang University, especially in the direction of engineering psychology and facing the frontier of science and national economy . It is one of the contents of the "support program for the construction of the first class science backbone basic discipline" of Zhejiang University.The center is devoted to the scientific theories and methods of psychology, physiology, biophysics, behavioral science, information science, data science and other disciplines. Through extensive cooperation with research institutes and enterprises and institutions, the application of frontier exploration and industrial innovation in related fields is carried out and made efforts to become influential research institutions and personnel training base at home and broad.

The main research direction of the center is Aeronautics and Astronautics, safety, medical and healthy life, engineering psychology of Intelligent Computing and Internet use, human ergonomics and ergonomics research. The center employs Wang Chongming, Zhang Kan, Zhang Yanmin, Chen Shanguang, Ming Fan and Tang Xiaowei as members of the Strategic Advisory Committee.

Yan Jianhua, vice president of Zhejiang University, Tang Xiaowei, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Wang Chongming, senior professor of liberal arts, related functional departments of the school and representatives of the department attended the ceremony.
